My Paris Shopping Experience

Visiting Paris this season with Galaries Lafayette proved to be a memorable experience. Being in a world famous fashion capital, the whole trip had fashion interwoven into every aspect. It’s refreshing to know that the department store has a large variety of high to low brands. Having brands like Zara and Urban Outfitters next to Isabel Marant and Acne Studios, one can really create a full closet with a one stop shop. Carrying well known brands to smaller Parisian companies, I got a wide range of choices and experiences at every corner with a genuine Parisian shopping experience. I had the privilege of spending some time with Faure le Page which is an exclusive Parisian brand dating back to 1717. The brand takes influences from Parisian history as well as the early French military. They have an amazing selection of different bags with customizable features which I found very interesting considering its unique color palettes. Galaries Lafayette also had a well known fragrance brand I had to see called Byredo. Byredo gave us a full presentation about their incredible scents to be able to choose a scent that worked just right. Their featured fragrance, Velvet Haze, turned out to be my favorite at the end and I can’t wait to start wearing it on the daily. It is so nice to know that all shopping can be done at one store with unique brands and Parisian influences throughout each floor of the department store. The store works hard to curate their unique floor displays depending on the trends of the season. The visual merchandising of the store as well as the window displays are well thought out and bring the store to life. I loved how effortless and relaxed the whole environment is and it makes it very enjoyable to shop.

I, of course, did a lot of shopping in Paris and headed to Delsey for a reliable luggage to take back home with me to the states. They have a wide variety of different luggages that are known to be fashion forward as well as functional. I ended up with the Chatelet Hard + because of its reliability, double zip feature, and full spinning wheels. A huge feature to this brand is that you can register your luggage to the website and be able to track it if it is ever lost. It was so effortless to roll that luggage to the airport and it matched perfect with my airport attire. Overall a highlight to the trip was the shopping and how fun Galaries Lafayette made the whole experience. The mall caters to every consumer with any inquiry ranging from clothing, food, and luggage making shopping all together a fun experience.
