With warmer weather ahead, I plan on swapping out most of my matte lip shades for lightweight glosses. As much as I love a striking matte lipstick, I prefer glosses when I’m doing dewy summer makeup. I got to try all the new CHANEL lip glosses at their recent pop-up experience in Los Angeles and I’ve been obsessed ever since. I honestly had no idea CHANEL Beauty had so many different types of glosses. Mind. Blown. If you’re looking to add a new lippie to your rotation, here’s the breakdown:
Nope, that’s not a typo. These are lightweight, non-sticky colors that work on lips and cheeks. For lips apply as usual, for cheeks add about three drops per cheek and blend.
Use if: You love a beauty splurge that can work double duty.
This collection includes sheer shades and lacquers with a super shiny finish. They have a gel-like texture and have coconut oil to keep lips from drying out.
Use if: You love a glossy pout without all the stickiness.
I have to say, this one is probably my favorite. It’s a sheer gloss with gold flecks that you can layer over any lip color or wear alone for a subtle sparkle.
Use if: You’re just getting into glossy lewks and aren’t ready to commit š
Meet the most pigmented of the bunch. Oh, and it’s got vitamin E and green tea to keep lips moisturized. Layer it over a matching lipstick for a super glam pout.
Use if: You want the color of a lipstickĀ andĀ the shine of a gloss. And why should you have to choose?
Who knew CHANEL made a lip plumper? Gloss Volume is packed with oils and pink peppercorn extract for a more plumped pout.
Use if: You’re 100% about that gloss life.
