5 Must Have Products For Healthy Hair

With the season changing, it is SO incredibly important to maintain healthy and nutrient dense hair by paying attention to what it needs. Hair is something that many people really do not think to prioritize in terms of hair health. Your hair is one thing that takes a while to grow back, so take care of it! Little tricks like using large clips (like this) instead of hair ties to put you hair up in order to avoid breakage, getting your hair trimmed as often as every 8 weeks, and maintaining high protein intake are all great ways to keep your hair healthy. However, the products you are using in your hair are just as important. You want to make sure you are consistently using quality products that do not have crazy additives.

There are 5 types of hair products I believe every person should have in arms length of him or her at all times whilst doing hair:

Conditioning Mask Treatment – It is so important to do a deep conditioning mask at least once a week. The treatment will restore all hydration to your hair from the combination of dry weather and use of heat tools like a blow dryer, curling iron, etc. My two faves are the Well Enrich Mask Treatment for Fine/Normal Hair and the Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair Mask Treatment. They both smell AMAZING, and leave my hair feeling angel soft out of the shower.

Leave-in Conditioner Spray – Leave-in conditioning spray is my ride or die of all hair products. I will take this stuff to the grave. I religiously spray leave-in conditioner after my shower generously into my wet hair. It not only adds nutrients to your hair, and acts as a protein reconstructor, but also will serve as a heat protectant spray from environmental stress or use of hot tools. My two faves are the Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave In Conditioner and the It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-in Product.

Nourishing Oil – If you are human, I guarantee you no matter how often your hair gets trimmed, your ends end up drying up, getting frail, and eventually splitting. My hack is applying nourishing oil to just the ends while your hair is still wet. That way your hair doesn’t get weighed down by the oils, but instead just moisturized and protected! When it comes to my two faves, they are both on the pricier side, but INCREDIBLY worth it. Consider your hair an investment. My two faves are the Oribe Gold Lust Oil and the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oleo Complexe Oil. I have chosen the travel size ones for affordability below. You have to try! Also, the small size works since this oil will last forever if you apply to only your ends!

Texturizing Spray – After I style my hair, I am always sure to add a dry texture finishing spray to my hair. Some people add hairspray to give dimension. However, I have found my hair becomes  too sticky, and greasy the next day after using hairspray. That is where texture spray has satisfied my needs – the best way of describing texture spray would be as if you are spraying little molecules into your hair that stack up and let your hair lay on top of (which give it more dimension aka magic). There is only one texture spray that I will live, breathe, and die to – Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray. Get it. It smells like heaven would smell like.

Dry Shampoo – Because I try not to wash my hair every day (in order to oil train it), dry shampoo has become my best friend. It is really hard to find one without too many harsh fragrances or additives. My two favorites would definitely be the Klorane Dry Shampoo With Oat Milk, and the Ouai Foam Dry Shampoo. The Klorane Dry Shampoo has oats in it to soak up your oils while giving your hair nutrients. The Ouai Foam Dry Shampoo is applied directly to the scalp, and magically leaves your hair feeling squeaky clean. My favorite thing about these two products are that they don’t make my scalp react since they have such natural ingredients in them.

All of these different types of hair products are absolute must haves in order to maintain healthy, luxurious, and amazing smelling hair.
