With the shift in the blog from strictly fashion to lifestyle that includes beauty, I figured a staple look that I want to share with you all is the perfect make up look for any major event you are going to including award season makeup!

I recently went to the Golden Globes (Oprah was a boss), and it was an amazing & unforgettable show. In preparation of attending my very first Golden Globe Awards, I knew I had to book my most favorite hairstylist – Nic Flores, and my go-to make up artist – Marissa Tomaino.

Nic did a flawless and sleek look on my hair by blowdrying it to perfection, and straightening it. I asked Marissa for a smokey eye along with a timeless red lip to go along with my all black outfit in commemoration of the #TimesUp & #MeToo movement. (My outfit was by Chanel via What Goes Around NYC paired with my Gucci heels, my Celine bangle, and a clutch from Shopbop.) I would have to say Marissa slays the make-up game, and gave me exactly what I asked for!

For the base of my face, Marissa started by using the Laura Mercier foundation primer (the best one out there), then she used the Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation all over my face, and concealed my under eyes + imperfections with a NARS concealer.

She then used the Laura Mercier Bronzer to darken the areas of my face to do a light contour along with highlighting my face with the Laura Mercier Highlighter in Candlelight.

For my eyes, she used the Persona Palette (obviously), and created the PERFECT smokey eye. After she did that, she applied Ardell individual lashes that stayed on ALL night! For my brows she used the IT! Cosmetics Brow Pencil.

To wrap this timeless look up, I decided on a classic matte red by Laura Mercier. This whole award season make up look is a great and a convenient go-to look for any major events you may be attending!
