New York Fashion Week F/W 2018 is here!! Day one is complete, and it was wildly successful. Roughly 125,000 people attend the shows in person during any given New York Fashion Week. That is was shocking! 6 seasons later, and I am just learning about this obscene statistic about New York Fashion Week. Most people look forward to seeing the newest and chicest designs by legends, what the fashion enthusiasts, icons, and bloggers are wearing to the show, and what the upcoming season’s hottest trends are going to look like.

To start of our New York Fashion Week adventure, Team TS prepped as much as we could possibly prep. After successfully planning ahead we went to bed early and started out our week! The first thing we do every day of the week is discuss the game plan in regards to how we are going to attack the confirmed schedule we have for the current day. Dana has my schedule planned down to the minute.

To begin our day, we woke up early for hair, make up, and picking out an outfit. We are staying at the James Hotel in Nomad for a week, and they are definitely taking care of me and the team. This location is one of my favorites because the suites are outrageously large, and all of my favorite foods (Sweetgreen, Dig Inn, Blank Slate Kitchen, Inday, Stumptown Coffee, and Cha Cha Matcha) are within a 2 block radius.

Once ready, to kick off our New York Fashion Week, we were off to our first stop: Adidas x Danielle Cathari Presentation. We really kicked off our day to a great start as this is one of the most innovative, creative, and memorable presentations I have ever been to. The story of Danielle Cathari is super inspiring as well. She was a young girl who was custom making her own creations from already made Adidas tracksuits. She would cut them apart and sew them together to fit her own personal creative style. You would think Adidas as a brand would feel disrespected. However, instead of suing her, they hired her! There is enough success out there in the world for everyone. When you can recognize pure talent/creativity along with pushing your ego aside, you can team up, work together, and create something out of this world!  That is exactly what Adidas and Danielle Cathari created: an epic line.

After the Adidas presentation, I changed in the back of our Lyft SUV (no shame) for the Cinq a Sept presentation at The Pierre hotel. When I say this presentation hit all of the points, it definitely did. They curated a luxurious and beautiful presentation with large floral arrangements in the ballroom. They had tables with a high tea set up with pastries and light snacks around the walkway for the models. Each piece in the presentation worn by the models were unique, classy, and chic. Starting our day off with the Adidas and Cinq a Sept presentations were an amazing way to kick off New York Fashion Week.

The rest of the day flew by with more presentations, shows, and events. Another presentation that stood out to me was PH5. They held it at Samsung in Chelsea which I initially thought that this could be interrreeesstting. However, they absolutely killed it. The presentation was interactive, and super high tech.Which is exactly what the line at PH5 is like. They are retro chic, modern, and sporty.

Kicking off New York Fashion week was a sweet success. Just when you think NYFW can’t get any better, all of the brands prove to be extremely innovative, and creative. To actually see my day, watch my very first youtube video on my channel now!
