With New York Fashion Week coming up, it was super convenient that I happened to be in the Big Apple a week before. I was working over there with one of my fave blogger sistas, Lisa Dengler. Since we were together, we thought it would be a great idea to shoot during our off hours with our collectively favorite NYC based photographer, Paige Linden — trust me, she is a perfectionist in the BEST way.
This outfit was heavily inspired by NYFW street style— perfect amount of cool girl chic with a hint of comfortability. When attending NYFW, you want your outfit to commemorate and celebrate the week that is focused on only fashion, but let’s be real… sitting through dozens of fashion shows over the course of the week can take a toll on you. You want your outfit to be as comfortable as possible while maintaining levels of chicness. Just being real with you guys.
My outfit consisted of cut-off light blue jeans by Re/Done. Re/Done has the most comfortable jeans without giving up on the fact that they are jeans. One thing I have noticed with a lot of jean brands is that some brands are less “jeany” and more leggings-like. If I am going to wear jeans, I am 100% committed. I have literally sought out to find the most comfortable jean jeans, and Redone is one of the brands at the top of my list. (This post is not sponsored by Redone, just love them!) Along with the jeans, I wore one of my blazers from Isabel Marant (surprise, surprise) – you know I can not say enough good things about Isabel Marant, but their blazers are next level & it’s on sale on Farfetch! I accessorized this look with a few things I got from one of the best up to date fashion online retailers, Net-A-Porter. They have a section of their site solely dedicated to showcase “what the world’s most stylish women are buying right now” — can it get any better? It is so convenient, and helps me stay on top of the current trends! The sunglasses I am wearing are Acne Studios via Net-A-Porter, and the belt (showstopper of the outfit) is Off White from Net-A-Porter. Look. At. That. Belt. It is amaaaaazze. I wrapped it around the middle of my waist to create a cinched look on the blazer. To wrap the look up, I paired it with these black heels from Alexander White (They’re on sale on GILT, you’re welcome!) I will be wearing these all next week while attending shows since they are some of the most comfortable heels I own!
Happy New York Fashion Week 2017!
