NEW YORK FASHION WEEK RECAP

When it comes to New York Fashion Week, street style is one of the main attractions for all of the fashion icons in attendance whether they like to admit it or not. Fun fact: Some very influential street style photographers have made a name for themselves by discovering the next best fashion icon. Street style comes hand in hand with the events, shows, and presentations that are involved in New York Fashion Week. New York Fashion week events start the moment you take a step out of your car and walk towards the event. Most who have not attended assume that it starts the second you step foot in the building of the event you are attending. It is a fun aspect of NYFW that keeps you on your toes.

Honestly, New York Fashion Week takes up two of the busiest weeks of the year for myself. I would definitely say it is 98% hard work & 2% glamorous. There is a ton of work that is constantly going on behind the scenes at every moment of every day. However, it is one of the most fun weeks of the year as well! We get to stay at amazing hotels like The James Hotel in Nomad. They really took care of me and the team by being on top of all of the packages and deliveries we received, the best hospitality, and having some of the largest suites in New York. On top of that we got to eat all of the best foods New York has to offer like Scarpetta, Dos Caminos, Catch NYC, etc. On top of the food and restaurants in NYC, we enjoyed so many other things the amazing city of New York has to offer. (Soon enough I will have a blog post up for you all about New York and how a blogger tackles the city!) Those are just the perks of New York as a city. Being able to attend and enjoy shows, presentations, and events is a huge privilege that is ultimately so incredibly inspiring. Fashion is art, and these creators who are sharing their work during this insane week are absolute creative and innovative geniuses. There is so much respect I have for these designers, and their ability to create tangible pieces of clothing that came from a design they manifested in their head.
