Tonight Team TS is flying to New York to take on New York Fashion Week F/W 18. The weeks leading up to today have been some of the most hectic and busiest of my life. My amazing project manager – Dana along with my bomb ass assistant – Eliz, have really pulled through in a major way in prepping for this impending week. We are as prepared as we could ever be by literally being prepared to be unprepared.
When it comes to flying from coast to coast, the one thing that really hits you would be the fact that it is currently 80 degrees and sunny in Los Angeles and 30 degrees and freezing in NYC. I needed the perfect airport attire that would maintain a sense of comfortability + cool girl chic along with catering to the absurd differences in the weather conditions.
I decided to start designing my airport outfit with my new Twenty Petite Pinstripe Terry High Waisted Drawstring Pants that you can get from Bandier, and build up from there. The easiest decision after deciding what pants to wear were the shoes – my sock-style Balenciaga sneakers, obviously. They were seriously my best purchase of 2017. (Blog post here on why these trainers were the best purchase of 2017). Knowing I had chosen the most comfortable pants that felt like sweats but looked like chic trousers along with my favorite pair of shoes, I was not worried about the rest of the outfit. That came easy. I put on a thin turtleneck sweater by Mariam Al Sibai so that I would not over heat, and my beige Oak + Fort coat on top to keep me warm. I decided to go with my Louis Vuitton clutch and my Han Kiobenhavn structured white sunnies since I have to be prepared to go to meetings and showrooms shortly after I get off the plane. I want to be prepared if the airline loses my bags (crossing my fingers they do not), and have an outfit that I can easily run errands in as well.
Happy Fashion Week F/W 2018! More blog posts along with my first every Youtube vlog coming VERY soon!
